Deep Inhalation - boso medisol Helps you Breathe Deeply
The healing process of deep inhalation, the inhalation of gaseous active substances or aerosol, is used to treat respiratory diseases. boso medisol ensures active nebulisation, which makes inhalation even more effective. Depending on the type of device, different droplet sizes can be produced. The size of the water droplets determines how deep they get into the respiratory tract; very small droplets also reach the bronchioles.

Inhalation is the act of inhaling gaseous active substances or aerosol (mixture of solid and/or liquid suspended particles and air).
The most common applications in medicine are in the treatment of respiratory diseases such as:
- Colds
- Sinusitis
- Bronchitis
The first form of inhalation is steam:
Here, water is heated and the resulting water vapour is inhaled. Particle size greater than 15 microns only for the upper respiratory tract.
The second form is powder inhalation:
Powder inhalates are administered with a powder inhaler and inhaled.

Inhalation with essential oils is possible with the boso medisol compact and boso medisol comfort. However, the use of essential oils for inhalation should only take place after consultation with your physician.
You should use the inhaler 3 times a day for approx. 10 to 20 minutes.
Due to the technology, some inhalation solution always remains in the inhaler.
The boso medisol inhalers can be used by several patients. However, according to the applicable hygiene guidelines, this is only permitted if the inhaler is additionally sterilized. For hygienic reasons, boso recommends that each person inhales with their own device.
There can be several reasons for this:
- The replacement filter is missing
- The replacement filter is clogged and should be cleaned (boiling can help here).
- The air tube is not firmly attached to the unit or nebuliser.
- Too little inhalation solution in the nubilser
It is possible that small amounts of condensation liquid will precipitate due to temperature fluctuations or humidity. After each inhalation, the air tube should be removed from the mask and the device switched on again briefly. Then remove the air hose from the device and allow it to dry.
Nebuliser, air tubes and replacement filters are wearing parts. To ensure a constant quality of therapy, these parts should be replaced once a year. For this purpose, boso offers the practical accessory sets (year packs).
The accessories must be cleaned after each individual application (see instruction manual of the respective device).
The mouthpiece of the PEAK FLOW METER can be cleaned with warm tap water and a little detergent. Cleaning in the dishwasher or boiling it is not possible.
Rinsing only cleans but does not kill germs. Germ reduction only takes place during disinfection by boiling. Please observe our instructions in the instruction manual.
After a maximum of 200 operating hours or at least once a year. Check the replacement filter regularly for dirt and replace it earlier if necessary.
Our boso medisol compact and boso medisol comfort inhalation devices come with a manufacturer's warranty of 5 years from the date of purchase. Accessories, yearpacks and wearing parts are excluded.
